Our God is so amazing! He is not only the Creator of the Universe, the king of Kings, our Redeemer and our Strength, He is our loving Heavenly Father! He delights in blessing His children. But He wants us to ask Him for what we need.
When you pray, do you boldly ask the Lord for what you need? Jesus says we should. "Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!" (Matthew 7:9-11).
Jesus said our Father in heaven will give good gifts "to those who ask him." This means we have to do something. We have to ask. James 4:2 says,"You do not have because you do not ask."
